RED International is seeking to support the Schools Assistance Project in the Manikganj and Sirajganj regions of Bangladesh.
Schools Assistance Programme helps meet the resource gap in Bangladesh schools through the provision of the following:
- Safe water supply and sanitation units (Toilets).
- Health and hygiene awareness teaching sessions resulting in better health standards in the home and school.
- Carefully selected libraries
- Sets of appropriate classroom furniture
- Flood prevention assistance
- Teacher training seminars, focusing on English skills
The overall result will be a much better environment for education, a key element in human resource development, and therefore the long-term development of the country.
