Good education is one of the most important factors to breaking the cycle of poverty not just for individuals but for communities and countries. This is why we support a variety of education projects both for children and adults.
UNICEF India reports that children born to mothers with at least 8 years of education have a 32% lesser chance of dying in the neonatal period and a 52% lesser chance of dying in the post-neonatal period, as compared to illiterate mothers (click here for more detail). Education is an essential part of helping the next generation take hold of a better future.
